Family member admitted to a unit 6B Psych during the middle of the night and despite how hard the circumstances were we were unwelcome by charge nurse Arlene who did not want to wake up to deal with this family member. She was sleeping at the desk. Would not have left my family member if a little nurse named Stephanie did not reassure me she would watch over my family member. Bad experience.
This sweet little hospital is the heart of Bessemer. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Doctors in this hospital are 120% ahead of their class. Very mindful staff, treating you with dignity and respect. I would recommend this hospital.
I was treated last night by Dr. David Fuller. Very caring doctor. I had broken a tooth and was in a lot of pain however blood pressure out really up there too. Top over 200 and bottom over 100. Just wish he had an office so I could stay with him.
Worst hospital I've ever been to took hours just to service me now they never brought my release papers and the doctors told me I could go 2 hours before I just walked out they couldn't find a nurse to remove my IV either never going there again!! Oh and let's not forget how prejudice I was treated.
I wish I could upload a picture!!! I just took a pic of BLOOD DROPLETS on the floor and chair in one of the rooms . PCTs seem uninterested. Nobody smiles or is even inviting . I feel like my condition is there burden - never come here for anything serious . VERY LAST RESORT.
