Satan lives here, or at least he must because I went through Hell trying to get a passport. The person who does the passports was late, I was told to come back at 2 pm, I was early @ 12:55pm I came back @ 1:40pm just to be early and get in line (hopefully the front). When I walked back in there were already 6 people in line ahead of me and the passport person was there. So stroke one for poor information. It was over 85° inside the building. I also I had a screaming 1 year old who had finally had enough. The woman doing the passports had zero empathy for myself, my wife or my daughter. We finally left Hell at around 3:30pm. All in all it was the worst experience of my life with a government office. If there was a negative stars option this place would receive it. Good day.
I have pictures but this area doesn't allow me to post them. Happy to share if anyone cares.
I really wouldn't care if all USPS services were suspended in Alabama altogether. Every last one of them are terrible. They have now misplaced two of my packages and getting anyone on the phone is like pulling teeth. Once you finally speak to someone, there is no real concern or sense of urgency. Even the website is a dead end with each service that it provides. I wish that I had control over which company gets to handle my packages when I order online because I"D NEVER use the post office. I'm typically compassionate about things being shut down because I hate to see people out of a job, but these people are useless.
I had to mail my father some important information and the clerk was very helpful. She assisted me in a friendly and timely manner. She even saved me a trip by asking if I would like cash back. I always have a great experience when she assists me.
And I would give 0 stars if it allowed me!
I gave a one star rating only because zero isn't an option. I am constantly receiving other people's mail. I had four packages misdelivered within a 10 day period. For two of the packages, the mail carrier stated that no one lived at the address and so the packages were returned to the sender. I've lived at this address for nine years! I keep going around in circles with the post office staff trying to get the issues resolved. They do not call back with updates as promised. Total incompetence all around!
I arrived home today to a package being left on the ground by my mailbox. It wouldn't fit in the box so instead of doing the right thing and bringing it to my door, they decided it was acceptable to leave it by the road where a - it could have been stolen or b- it could have been run over or c- other things to considered. I called and spoke with Angel who hung up on me because I said "damn road". Said I was cussing AT HER. spoke with a gentleman who wouldn't provide his name because it was a government policy. He went on to explain that he was apparently like a district manager and was able to assist at any post office. Yet wasn't required to give his name. He kept calling this a mistake they would handle. Mistakes are I got my neighbors mail.... or they got mine. This was a blatant disregard for a person's property and NOT a mistake.
